Telephone Conversation Held Between Hero-Arkadag and President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan

On March 30, a telephone conversation took place between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Warmly greeting each other, Hero-Arkadag and the President of Turkey exchanged congratulations on the sacred holiday of Oraza, along with wishes for the Almighty to accept the fasting, prayers, and good deeds performed during the blessed days of the holy month.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan sincerely congratulated Hero-Arkadag on the United Nations General Assembly's adoption, for the third time, of the Resolution on "Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan." He emphasized that this remarkable achievement clearly demonstrates the international recognition of Turkmenistan’s policy aimed at peace, good neighborliness, universal well-being, and sustainable development.

Hero-Arkadag expressed gratitude for the kind words and Turkey’s unwavering support for Turkmenistan’s international initiatives, which are based on the principles of neutrality.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people also expressed appreciation for the participation of the Turkish delegation in the International Conference "Year of Peace and Trust: Development of International Activities for the Benefit of Children," dedicated to the 4th anniversary of the Charitable Foundation named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for supporting children in need of care.

Recognizing the importance of this large-scale forum aimed at uniting efforts to ensure a happy future and prosperous lives for children, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan thanked Turkmenistan for its warm hospitality extended to the Turkish delegation.

During the phone conversation, it was noted that Turkey is one of Turkmenistan’s strategic trade and economic partners. The expansion and strengthening of multifaceted Turkmen-Turkish relations on a long-term basis remains one of the priorities of Turkmenistan's foreign policy.

In this regard, both sides expressed satisfaction with the dynamic development of bilateral cooperation in political and diplomatic, trade and economic, as well as cultural and humanitarian spheres, based on mutual respect, trust, and reciprocal support.

Cultural and humanitarian cooperation is an integral part of the interstate dialogue. The Turkmen and Turkish peoples are united by a common history, culture, and shared spiritual and moral values. In this context, both sides highlighted the importance of targeted cooperation and expressed confidence in the successful continuation of partnership in fields such as science, education, culture, arts, and sports.

Continuing the conversation, Hero-Arkadag expressed gratitude to the head of the brotherly state for his efforts in strengthening friendly bilateral relations and wished him good health, success in his state activities, and prosperity to the Turkish people.

Taking the opportunity, Hero-Arkadag requested President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to convey greetings to "our sister," Emine Hanım, from her sister Ogulgerik, as well as from the President of Turkmenistan, His Excellency Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

In response, the President of Turkey conveyed his warm greetings to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

At the conclusion of the telephone conversation, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, reaffirmed their readiness to support each other’s initiatives and efforts in further expanding Turkmen-Turkish relations and enhancing their substantive content. They also exchanged best wishes for the well-being and prosperity of the fraternal peoples of both countries.
