As part of the educational reforms implemented by the esteemed President, comprehensive measures are being successfully carried out in the general education schools of our country to ensure high-quality teaching of subjects, develop students’ natural abilities and talents, foster well-rounded youth, encourage scientific and creative engagement, and support professional self-determination. In this regard, various competitions are organized, creating broad opportunities for youth participation in international subject Olympiads.
The organizational work for the national round of the “Altyn Asyryň Altyn Zehinleri” subject Olympiad among schoolchildren was conducted at a high level. On March 12–13, 2025, the national round of the subject Olympiad was held for 11th- and 12th-grade students. The Olympiad took place at the following institutions: Makhtumkuli Turkmen State University – Astronomy and Geography (102 participants); Oguzhan Turkmen Engineering and Technology University – Chemistry, Physics, and Biology (276 participants); Seiitnazar Seidi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute – Mathematics and Computer Science (184 participants); Turkmen Agricultural Institute – History (53 participants); Turkmen State Energy Institute – Russian Language (92 participants); Beki Seytakov Pedagogical College – Turkmen Language and Literature (51 participants); Hyıdır Deryayev Pedagogical College – English Language (53 participants)
The national round was attended by the winners of the city and regional rounds from Ashgabat, the city of Arkadag, and the velayats, as well as 811 students who secured 1st and 2nd places in the national round of the 2023–2024 academic year.
The performance of the Olympiad participants was fairly evaluated by a jury composed of university professors and faculty members. Based on the results of competitions in 11 subjects, 34 students won 1st place, 68 students secured 2nd place, and 134 students took 3rd place.
Today, a grand award ceremony was held at Specialized Secondary School No. 4 in Ashgabat to honor the winners of the national round of the Olympiad, as well as the winners of the national robotics competition. The laureates were awarded diplomas from the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and valuable gifts from the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.
The winners expressed their gratitude to Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar for creating such excellent opportunities.
According to Order No. 71 of the Minister of Education of Turkmenistan, dated March 5, 2025, the national round of the subject Olympiad was conducted at the following institutions: Oguzhan Turkmen Engineering and Technology University – Chemistry, Biology, and Physics; Makhtumkuli Turkmen State University – Astronomy and Geography; Turkmen Agricultural Institute – History; Beki Seytakov Pedagogical College – Turkmen Language and Literature; Seiitnazar Seidi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute – Mathematics and Computer Science; Turkmen State Energy Institute – Russian Language; Hyıdır Deryayev Pedagogical College – English Language. A total of 811 students from Ashgabat, the city of Arkadag, and the velayats participated in the national round of the subject Olympiad for the 2024–2025 academic year. In accordance with the Regulations on the “Altyn Asyryň Altyn Zehinleri” Subject Olympiad, 236 students were awarded prizes (1st, 2nd, and 3rd places).Unlike previous years, this year’s national round was held not in an online format but in higher and secondary vocational educational institutions in Ashgabat and the regions, which yielded positive results. Additionally, career guidance events were organized for the Olympiad participants at these institutions. 1st place – 34 students; 2nd place – 68 students; 3rd place – 134 students.
