The Turkmenistan pavilion at “Expo 2025” will unite tradition and modernity

On April 13, 2025, the World Expo 2025 will commence in the Japanese city of Osaka. This global event will be held on the artificial island of Yumeshima in Osaka Bay and will last for six months, concluding on October 13, 2025.

Turkmenistan will also have a pavilion at the exhibition. The architectural design of the pavilion reflects the country's commitment to sustainable development and symbolizes its peaceful foreign policy. The pavilion's form resembles a light triangle, which is associated with renewal, the continuity of life, and forward movement. Its dome is inspired by the traditional Turkmen adornment, the "gulyaka" and the exterior is inspired by the imagery of the Garagum Desert.

The pavilion consists of three levels. The ground floor is dedicated to immersive technologies. Here, with the aid of large spherical screens, light, and sound, visitors will be able to embark on a virtual journey through the history, culture, and natural resources of Turkmenistan.

The second floor will demonstrate achievements in the fields of energy, industry, healthcare, education, sports, and culture. A special place is reserved for the exposition of medicinal plants traditionally used in Turkmen medicine.

The third floor will serve as a center for cultural values, where collections of Turkmen carpets, exquisite national embroidery, as well as museum exhibits, will be displayed.

Furthermore, the Turkmenistan Pavilion will feature a national restaurant where guests will be treated to dishes of Turkmen cuisine prepared from natural products. On the open terrace, visitors will be offered green tea and refreshments while seated on traditional Turkmen "tapchans".

Turkmenistan's participation in “Expo 2025” is an opportunity to demonstrate to the world the country's rich history, natural diversity, and modern achievements. It is worth noting that the National Day of Turkmenistan will take place on April 14th in the magnificent National Hall of EXPO, "Ray Garden".
