Turkmenistan National Day at EXPO 2025

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who is on a working visit to Japan, took part this morning in the National Day of Turkmenistan, organized within the framework of the World Expo 2025 in Osaka. As is known, Turkmenistan was honored to celebrate its National Day among the first of almost 160 countries that participated in this major event.

In the 174-year history of the World Expo, Japan has become the host of such a prestigious exhibition for the third time. This is the second time that EXPO 2025 is being held in Osaka, the city chosen to host the event. In 1970, the first EXPO on the Asian continent was held here, which went down in history as the most visited exhibition of the 20th century. For this year's World Expo, a special artificial island was built near Osaka, the name of which is Yumeshima, meaning "Dream Island". In fact, the Osaka-Kansai region is the birthplace of the first Japanese state, which also offers excellent opportunities for historical tourism, studying national characteristics and monuments. The area around the site of EXPO 2025, which will be held from April 13 to October 13, is surrounded by the Grand Ring, which is a wooden structure 2 kilometers long and 20 meters high. It has already been listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest indoor wooden structure. The Osaka Expo is organized around three themes: "Saving Lives", "Expanding Life Opportunities" and "Connecting Lives", and the national pavilion of Turkmenistan is located in the "Expanding Life Opportunities" section. ... In the morning, the Esteemed President arrived at the building to receive distinguished guests of the World Expo 2025 and made a memorable entry in the Book of Honorary Guests of the Expo. Then, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov together with the Japanese Minister for World Expo 2025 Ito Yoshitaka took part in a solemn ceremony on the occasion of the National Day of Turkmenistan and delivered a speech. The festive atmosphere of the ceremony was given by the speeches of Turkmen cultural and art figures who are currently in Japan. Then, the Esteemed President together with official representatives of Japan visited the national pavilion of Turkmenistan. The head of state cut the symbolic ribbon of the pavilion to the thunderous applause of the ceremony participants. Then, an acquaintance with this unique object took place. The high-level guests watched a 3D animation video about the history of our country, its beautiful nature, national wealth and the great achievements of our Homeland in the Revival of a new epoch of the powerful state. On the second floor of the building, there are exhibits of the city of Arkadag, ministries and departments of Turkmenistan. On the third floor, guests are served traditional Turkmen dishes. Then Arkadagly Hero Serdar and official representatives of Japan also visited the national pavilion of the land of the rising sun. It should be noted that in accordance with the Resolution of the Esteemed President, the construction of the national pavilion of Turkmenistan at the World Exhibition "EXPO - 2025" was entrusted to the business society "Belli". The architecture of the project has a unique meaning: the triangular structure of the building symbolizes movement forward, continuity of life and renewal. The dome part of the pavilion is inspired by the traditions and national values ​​of the Turkmen people, as well as carpet patterns. Its appearance is in harmony with the natural landscape of the Karakum steppe. The Turkmen pavilion, embodying the philosophy of creating a unique harmony of nationality and modernity, revealing the inextricable connection of the past, present and future, aroused particular interest among tourists even before its official start of work. The main goal of Turkmenistan's participation in the large-scale exhibition in Osaka is to demonstrate the achievements made in various fields over the years of sovereign development, expand trade and economic ties with foreign countries, and increase exports of manufactured products.
