The 5th Open International Mathematical Olympiad has started

In the Era of the revival of a new epoch of a powerful state under the wise leadership of the national leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag and Honorable President, Arkadagly Hero Serdar, the year held under the motto “International Year of Peace and Trust” has been marked by new achievements and significant events. It is necessary to note that among the international successes, a special place is occupied by the achieved results in the field of education. A vivid example of this is the solemn opening ceremony of the 5^th Open International Mathematical Olympiad among students held on April 14 at the International University for the Humanities and Development.

At the main entrance, guests of the university were greeted with “bread and salt”. Special attention was paid to foreigners by the exhibition demonstrating national values. Girls embroidering traditional Turkmen embroidery and young men engaged in handicrafts, which have become art, are a vivid expression of the antiquity of national merits.

Further, in the conference hall of the International University for the Humanities and Development, song-musical performances were held on the occasion of the opening ceremony of the 5^th Open International Mathematical Olympiad. The great achievements of our beautiful Motherland were vividly reflected in musical performances. Foreign guests who watched the musical performances with great joy and excitement had the opportunity to touch the amazing world of Turkmen culture and art. Beautiful songs and national dances performed by our youth left an unforgettable impression.

After the song-musical performances dedicated to the opening ceremony, this year’s individual competition started. Young experts of the mathematics did their best at solving complex mathematical problems and examples individually in the lecture rooms of IUHD, where all the necessary conditions were created for this.

Students of higher education institutions from many countries of the world took part in this competition, in particular, from the Russian Federation, the Republic of Uzbekistan, Indonesia, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the United Arab Emirates, India, the Republic of Poland, and Romania. In total, more than 30 higher education institutions and about 200 students from foreign countries, as well as students of all higher education institutions of Turkmenistan, registered in the event. Young talents will compete in individual and team competitions at the 5^th Open International Mathematical Olympiad, in which a total of 557 participants from 60 universities will participate. The Olympiad will be held in categories “A” and “B”. Category “A” includes students studying mathematics and computer science, and group “B” - students studying other specialties.

According to the regulation, professors and teachers of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan and foreign countries participating in the competition will be part of the jury. As part of the Olympiad, it is planned to organize excursions for the guests of our capital to the ancient fortress of Nisa, the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan, as well as to the shopping and entertainment centers of the capital, such as “Ashhabad”, “Arkach”, “Berkarar”, “Gulzemin”.

In this international competition, foreign quests will not only get acquainted with the achievements of our country in the field of education, but will also have the opportunity to study the ancient history, culture and art of our people. In turn, this will contribute to the further increase in the international authority of our country. Certainly, at the base of these reforms are the unprecedented efforts of our Hero Arkadag, Arkadagly Hero Serdar, to train young and talented international specialists who will bring glory to our beloved country.
