Turkmen Youth Delegation Met with Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN

As part of their participation in the Youth Forum of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), a delegation of young leaders from Turkmenistan visited the Permanent Mission of the country to the United Nations in New York.

The young delegates were warmly welcomed by the Hero of Turkmenistan, Permanent Representative of the country to the UN, Ms. Aksoltan Ataeva. During the meeting, she familiarized the participants with the priority areas of the Permanent Mission's activities, emphasizing the important role of Turkmenistan in promoting international initiatives, including sustainable development, youth diplomacy and a culture of peace, especially in the context of the International Year of Peace and Trust 2025 proclaimed by the UN General Assembly.

Particular attention during the conversation was paid to the contribution of Turkmen diplomacy to the implementation of the UN youth agenda and sustainable peace. Ms. Ataeva spoke about the current work of the mission to protect the country's interests in the international arena and emphasized that Turkmenistan consistently promotes dialogue as the main instrument of foreign policy, including in the format of initiatives in the field of youth interaction.

In a friendly and constructive atmosphere, the meeting participants discussed current issues on the international youth agenda, asked questions about the specifics of the diplomatic service, and shared their ideas on further initiatives within the framework of global projects under the auspices of the UN. The visit to the Permanent Mission became a symbolic end to a busy day, logically linking the official events of the Forum with the national diplomatic agenda of Turkmenistan.
