Turkmen Student Athletes Achieve Success in the Kyrgyz Republic

From April 14 to 17, 2025, an international Alysh belt wrestling tournament was held in Bishkek, the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic. The competition brought together approximately 200 skilled wrestlers from various countries, including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Mongolia, Ukraine, India, Azerbaijan, and the Netherlands.
Students from the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports achieved notable results, earning the following medals:
- Kuvvatmyrat Hojamberdiyev — Gold medal (90 kg)
- Davut Nazarov — Silver medal (+100 kg)
- Guvanch Hemrayev — Silver medal (80 kg)
- Zohre Gurbanmuradova — Bronze medal (60 kg)
These accomplishments are not only personal victories for the athletes but also reflect Turkmenistan’s national policy focused on promoting sports and physical education among the youth.
