Taking into account the growing importance of the “knowledge economy,” continuous and comprehensive work is being carried out to develop the educational services market and raise the economic culture of the population.
Recently, a modern textbook titled Fundamentals of Economics was published for 12th grade students of general education schools with Russian as the language of instruction (author: Ch. The textbook is developed in accordance with the educational curriculum and covers such important topics as “Market Economy,” “Market,” “Entrepreneurial Activity and Its Financing,” “Banking System,” “Macroeconomics,” “State Budget and Taxes,” “Balance of Payments,” and “World Economy.”
The author of the textbook offers his own approach to the structuring of educational material and the sequence of its study. The textbook consists of one section and seven chapters and also includes a short glossary and correct answers to test questions.
The subject Fundamentals of Economics studies the relationships that arise between people in the process of distributing, exchanging, and consuming produced goods, as well as their behavior in the market. The main goal of this subject is to develop economic thinking in the younger generation, to form their entrepreneurial abilities, and to ensure their active participation in the economic life of the country in order to increase the economic potential and competitiveness of the state. The Fundamentals of Economics textbook makes extensive use of statistical data, tables, graphs, and various illustrations reflecting the development of economic culture under modern conditions. Special attention is paid to English-language equivalents of economic terms. Gratitude is expressed to the Esteemed President of Turkmenistan for his continuous support of the development of economic education and for creating conditions for the training of qualified specialists.
