Cooperation with the Technological University of Malaysian company "PETRONAS" is developing

Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University and the Malaysian company "PETRONAS Charigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd" and the Technological University of Malaysian company "PETRONAS" have been successfully cooperating in the field of science and education for several years. In order to develop and expand international cooperation, a new Memorandum of Understanding was recently signed between the partner company and the two higher education institutions, extending cooperation for another 5 years.

At the Technological University of Malaysian company "PETRONAS", students and young teachers of our university undergo summer educational and industrial practice every year and constantly improve their professional qualifications. Professors and teachers of the Technological University "PETRONAS" organize general educational training sessions on various topics for students and young teachers of our university. From 21 to 25 April, a professor from the University of Technology conducted an online training on the topic of “Oil and Gas Well Operation and Production Technologies” for students and young teachers of the Faculty of Oil and Gas using a digital system. During the training, interesting information was given about innovative technologies and new methods currently used. Participants of the trainings are awarded special certificates from the University of Technology PETRONAS, Malaysia. As part of the MoU, it is planned that in 2025, several professors from the University of Technology will also visit our university using a digital system. The trainings will cover topics in the oil and gas industry, oil and gas economics, implementation of digital systems, chemistry and processing, ecology and environmental protection, and students and young teachers will be familiarized with modern innovative technologies used in this field and methods for their implementation.
