On April 25, during a Cabinet of Ministers meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported on the ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
It is proposed that a Turkmen delegation participate in the 51st Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers, scheduled to take place on June 20–21 this year in the city of Istanbul, Republic of Türkiye. Within the framework of this session, Turkmenistan has initiated the adoption of a resolution titled “The Role of the Policy of Neutrality in Strengthening International Peace, Security and Sustainable Development in OIC Member States and Around the World.”
Additionally, in connection with the declaration of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust, it was proposed to organize a conference on the topic of peace as part of the upcoming OIC session.
