Vice President for medical activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care Oguljahan Atabayeva talked with the main presenter of the Al-Arabiya TV channel. This was reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH).

During the conversation between main presenter of the Al-Arabiya TV channel Rizwan Khan, who was on a visit to our country, and Vice President for medical activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care Atabayeva, an interested exchange of views took place on issues related to these areas.

As noted, an international conference in honor of the 4th anniversary of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care, created on March 29, 2021, on the initiative of the Hero of Arkadag, was actively held in the city of Arkadag.

As noted by Vice President of the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship Atabayeva, in our country, in cooperation with UNICEF, a number of projects have been implemented in the education and health systems aimed at creating favorable conditions for children. Together with the UN Development Program, the project "Provision of Medicines Necessary for the Prevention and Treatment of Infectious Diseases and the Protection of Maternal and Child Health in Turkmenistan" is being implemented. 

During the conversation with the main host of the Al-Arabiya TV channel, it was also noted that the Foundation is currently actively involved in Turkmenistan's international humanitarian cooperation, including the implementation of large-scale and long-term strategies and programs of the United Nations, and has established ties with charitable and humanitarian organizations in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

The Foundation provided humanitarian aid to children affected by the recent tragic earthquake in the Republic of Turkey, sending the necessary medical equipment, clothing and food. In addition, humanitarian aid was provided to children in Ukraine, Palestine, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and Primorsky Krai of the Russian Federation. Vice President of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care Atabayeva spoke in detail about the Health and Rehabilitation Center located next to the main building of the Foundation in the city of Arkadag, and the work carried out there to restore the health of children, emphasizing that this work is a great contribution to the future. 

"Our main goal was to exchange experience in this area with representatives of other countries who arrived for the international forum held in the city of Arkadag. Therefore, I can say that it is very important to exchange opinions with experienced specialists. Because working with children is very interesting. At the same time, it is very difficult. As a charitable foundation, we are always interested in sending our specialists to improve their knowledge and skills," - Vice President for medical activities of the charitable foundation Atabayeva noted in her interview.
