On April 29, the exhibition-fair “International Trade and Services” and the international conference “Ensuring Quality in Accordance with International Standards in Turkmenistan” opened in the capital. This three-day forum offers broad opportunities for international cooperation in improving the quality of products and services, as well as in developing mutually beneficial trade relations.
More than 140 domestic and foreign companies, along with international organizations, are presenting their activities and cooperation opportunities to visitors. The stands of government institutions within the trade complex — including the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan, and the Arkadag City Trade Department — reflect the comprehensive efforts undertaken by these entities to implement trade operations based on digital and information technologies. The stand of the Main State Service "Türkmenstandartlary" is dedicated to modern calibration technologies and the main areas of activity related to the certification of domestic products.
Visitors also have the opportunity to learn about the work of international certification organizations such as ISO, Halal, ESG, GMP, and GLOBALG.A.P. These bodies not only ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards of the products but also promote continuous improvement of production technologies, enhancement of professional competence of manufacturing companies, and environmentally responsible practices. Adherence to international standards at enterprises creates significant opportunities to increase demand among discerning consumers worldwide, expand production volumes, and attract foreign investment.
