On April 30, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held a telephone conversation with the Federal President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
During the exchange of views on the current state of bilateral cooperation in the trade and economic sphere and the prospects for its development, the parties noted that mutual trade turnover has been increasing year by year. In this regard, special emphasis was placed on the role of the Turkmen-German Joint Working Group, as well as the activities of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy and the German-Turkmen Forum.
