On October 4, 2024, a ceremonial conference titled “My Mentor Teacher” was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan to mark the 2nd anniversary of the opening of the UNESCO club "Culture of Peace" and the International Teachers' Day. The event was attended by the secretariat of Turkmenistan's national group on UNESCO, heads of UNESCO chairs and clubs established at higher education institutions in Turkmenistan, faculty members, and students of the institute.
At the beginning of the conference, a documentary film dedicated to the life and career of Chinar Rustemova, a Hero of Turkmenistan, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador, and the responsible secretary of Turkmenistan's national group on UNESCO, was shown.
During the ceremonial conference, speakers included Ayna Baymuradova, head of the Council of the UNESCO club "Culture of Peace" at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bike Diwangulyeva, head of the UNESCO chair “Cultural Heritage: From the Past to the Future” at Magtymguly Turkmen State University, Merjen Berdieva, head of the UNESCO club “Medicinal Plants: Our Health, Our Heritage” at Myrat Garryyev State Medical University, Ogulsabyra Berdiyeva, head of the UNESCO club “Languages of Peace” at the State Institute of World Languages named after Dovletmammet Azady, and Guncha Shamyrowa, head of the UNESCO club “Ahalteke Horses: Ambassadors of Peace” at the International Horse Academy named after Aba Annayev in Arkadag city. The creative performances of enthusiastic students from the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs left a pleasant impression on the participants of the conference.
