On May 8, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via a digital system, during which the results of work carried out in the country over the first four months of the current year were reviewed.
The meeting began with a report from the Chairwoman of the Mejlis, D. Gulmanova, who provided information on the activities conducted from January to April of this year to strengthen national legislation.
According to the report, eight laws of Turkmenistan were adopted during the specified period, including laws on improving the functioning of the judiciary and on accession to the Protocol to the International Convention on Load Lines. Amendments and additions were made to existing legal acts related to criminal, arbitration, civil, criminal procedural, administrative procedural, family, and labor relations, as well as to issues concerning taxes, commemorative medals, road transport, and migration. Additionally, nine resolutions of the Mejlis were adopted.
Summarizing the information, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of continuing work on the preparation of new draft laws that must be comprehensive and meet the requirements of the time.
Addressing the members of the Cabinet of Ministers, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the results of the work carried out in our independent country over the past four months demonstrate the successful implementation of adopted programs.
The President went on to highlight that May 9 would be widely celebrated as a great holiday — the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945.
A wreath-laying ceremony in memory of our heroes would take place at the "Halk hakydasy" Memorial Complex in Ashgabat, the head of state said, taking the opportunity to warmly congratulate the members of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Turkmen people on Victory Day.
The members of the Cabinet of Ministers extended their congratulations to the President of Turkmenistan and Hero-Arkadag on the 80th anniversary of Victory.
