In Turkmenistan, GDP growth for the first four months of 2025 amounted to 6.3 percent

On May 8, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via a digital system, during which the results of work carried out in the country over the first four months of the current year were reviewed.

Following the meeting, addressing the members of the Cabinet of Ministers, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the results of the work carried out in our independent country over the past four months demonstrate the successful implementation of the adopted programs. The GDP maintained a stable level, reaching 6.3 percent during the reporting period.

The construction of large industrial facilities and social buildings continues, including new settlements, residential buildings, schools, kindergartens, and other facilities.

The head of state also emphasized the importance of continuing to develop economic sectors in accordance with the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country for 2022–2028 and maintaining constant control over the implementation of planned works.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister H. Geldimyradov reported that during the reporting period, GDP increased by 6.3 percent, with growth rates of 0.6 percent in industry, 4.4 percent in construction, 11.1 percent in the transport and communications sector, 9.9 percent in trade, 4 percent in agriculture, and 8.8 percent in the services sector.
