National Leader of the Turkmen People Meets with UAE Representatives

On May 14, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, met with Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Managing Director and Group CEO of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC); Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure; and Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, UAE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that the United Arab Emirates is a reliable partner of Turkmenistan in political and socio-economic spheres. The similarity or closeness of the two countries' positions on major international and regional issues was highlighted, enabling them to cooperate effectively within various international organizations, primarily the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and other platforms.

In the exchange of views on the current state of cooperation in the political and diplomatic sphere and prospects for its development, both sides underscored the importance of holding regular consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries, emphasizing the need for their continuation.

Energy, transport and communications, industry, and advanced technologies were identified as promising areas for further cooperation.
