As part of the Huawei Connect 2024 exhibition, held under the slogan “Amplifier Intelligence,” a delegation from the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan visited the stand of the Smart Education System. During the visit, discussions were held regarding the possibilities of implementing advanced technologies to digitize the country’s educational processes.
During the meeting of the Deputy Minister of Education of Turkmenistan Azat Ataev with the founder and Chairman of ULearning, which is a partner of Huawei, Dr. J.Jin, the key issues of implementation of intelligent learning management systems in Turkmenistan were discussed. During the negotiations, it was agreed that if the Turkmen side is interested, U-Learning is ready to provide access to the Smart class system to explore the possibilities of effective use of AI in education. Access for 200 users will be provided to pilot the system. As part of the piloting, Turkmen teachers will be able to assess the effectiveness of using AI in the process of teaching, creating educational content and assessing students' progress. This system allows evaluation the effectiveness of lessons and providing recommendations to teachers to improve the conduct of lessons in a particular class. The system also assists teachers in preparing lesson materials, planning the learning process, compiling test material, conducting comprehensive assessment and analyzing student performance. Students are provided with individual recommendations on the selection of educational content based on the analysis of their performance, which contributes to the improvement of their educational results. The system has already been successfully deployed in more than 1,000 educational institutions worldwide. These solutions provide training to more than 10 million users using the latest technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data and cloud technologies.
The Deputy Minister also presented local developments, including the recently launched “e-Mekdep” platform, created by the Innovation Information Center of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, as well as education management systems such as the online university ranking platform, the analytics and quality assessment system for higher and secondary institutions, the higher education information system, and others. All these platforms are intended for the digital management of educational processes in the country’s institutions. The Chinese side expressed interest in exploring Turkmenistan’s developments in the context of creating a comprehensive solution by combining the Ministry of Education’s software with Huawei’s equipment.
Furthermore, both parties expressed interest in strengthening cooperation on the implementation and exchange of experiences in the development and application of innovative educational technologies. The sides agreed to further discuss the prospects for collaboration in more detail.
