President of Turkmenistan Receives Head of the International Weightlifting Federation

On May 20, President Serdar Berdimuhamedow received Mohammed Jalood, President of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF), who is visiting our country.
Expressing gratitude for the opportunity of the meeting, the guest emphasized that it was a great honor for him to visit Turkmenistan, which is achieving great success in the sphere of sports. The IWF President noted that he recalls with particular warmth his previous visits to Ashgabat in 2017 to participate in the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, and in 2018 for the World Weightlifting Championships. Taking the opportunity, he expressed his admiration for the unique beauty of white-marbled Ashgabat.
