The delegation headed by Erol Ozvar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Higher Education Institution, Republic of Turkey was received in the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan

As it was reported, the delegation headed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Higher Education Institution of the Republic of Turkey Erol Ozvar paid a working visit to the beautiful Ashgabat - the capital of our Motherland Turkmenistan, whose neutrality has been recognized three times by the world community.

On May 22, 2025, the delegation headed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Higher Education Institution of the Republic of Turkey Erol Ozvar met with the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan B. Orazdurdyeva and the Minister of Education of Turkmenistan J. Gurbangeldyev.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan B. Orazdurdyeva welcomed the delegation of the Republic of Turkey in Turkmenistan and noted that Turkmen-Turkish relations are based on the principles of mutual respect and equality, as well as the historical and cultural community of the Turkmen and Turkish peoples, which in turn provides an opportunity for effective cooperation. Accordingly, Turkmenistan intends to further develop Turkmen-Turkish cooperation in the field of higher professional education and is fully prepared to exchange views on mutually beneficial areas for both sides in this direction. Then she told in detail about the reforms in the field of education carried out under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The parties enthusiastically discussed the activity and high level of development of mutually beneficial cooperation, emphasizing that education is a bridge connecting the Turkmen and Turkish peoples.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to the measures that will be jointly implemented based on the "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Higher Education System between the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the Higher Education Institution of the Republic of Turkey", signed on October 26, 2023.

It was proposed to further intensify cooperation between higher education institutions of the two countries, plan further actions and develop a roadmap. During the meeting, the head of the Higher Education Institution of the Republic of Turkey Erol Ozvar presented the Turkmen side with a number of proposals on expanding cooperation. These include the preparation of a Memorandum of Understanding on the opening of branches of higher educational establishments of the Republic of Turkey and joint educational programs in Turkmenistan; the allocation of places to the students in higher educational establishments of the Republic of Turkey for Turkmen youth to receive education; study and exchange experiences with the achievements of higher educational establishments of the Republic of Turkey in the field of digital education and artificial intelligence technologies and positive proposals can be highlighted, such as conducting joint scientific research with educational establishments of the Republic of Turkey on literature, history, culture of the two countries, as well as political, economic and cultural life of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Turkey.

In support of the submitted proposals, both parties agreed to prepare a Roadmap on their basis as soon as possible and submit it in its final form through diplomatic channels.

During the fruitful meetings, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan B. Orazdurdyeva invited the Higher Education Institution of the Republic of Turkey to participate in the international exhibition and scientific conference "Healthcare, Education and Sports in the Epoch of the Revival of the New Era of Powerful State", which will be held in October of this year.
