Turkmenistan Celebrated Turkmen Carpet Day

On May 25, an exhibition of carpets and carpet products, as well as the 25th meeting of the World Association of Connoisseurs of Turkmen Carpet, were held in the capital, dedicated to Turkmen Carpet Day, annually celebrated on the last Sunday of May. The events, organized in honor of Turkmen carpet weavers, provided an excellent opportunity to popularize national heritage, acquaint the general public with the achievements of the country's carpet industry, and strengthen cooperation with potential foreign partners.

Turkmen Carpet Day celebrates the national heritage of the unique ancient art of carpet weaving, created by our people throughout their history. These celebrations embody loyalty to the spiritual testaments and values of ancestors, the continuity of distinctive national traditions, and high respect for the labor of master carpet weavers who create world-renowned Turkmen carpets.

The patterns of Turkmen carpets reflect the history, philosophy, and worldview of the Turkmen people. Carpets, striking in their beauty, elegance, diversity, and stunning harmony of colors, are an embodiment of the remarkable qualities and national characteristics of our people.
