Success of a student-wrestler Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University

The high authority of Turkmenistan in the world of sports clearly demonstrates that under the leadership of our Esteemed President, special attention is paid to this area. Currently, Turkmenistan is known as a country with a developed sports system, capable of successfully holding world-class competitions.
The teachers of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University are doing fruitful work to widely involve young people in physical education and sports, promoting a healthy lifestyle. They make a worthy contribution to the harmonious development of physical education and sports, the formation of young athletes.
From May 23 to 24, 2025, the International Wrestling Championship was held in the Republic of India. At the competition, a 3rd year student of the Faculty of Economics and Management of our university, Umyt Garagulov, successfully performed in the 60 kg weight category and took 2nd place.
This achievement clearly demonstrates the successful implementation of the set tasks to take sports in our country to new heights.
