On the 330th Anniversary of the Birth of Dovletmammet Azadi

A solemn conference entitled “Azadi – a Source of Science and Wisdom” was held at Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, in honor of the 330th anniversary of the birth of Dovletmammet Azadi, who, with his literary heritage steeped in wisdom, is an inexhaustible source of knowledge and wisdom not only for the Turkmen people, but also for humanity as a whole. In order to achieve the goal set for this conference and to comprehensively explain its content on a scientific basis, scholars who have carefully studied, read, and analyzed every page of the works of this great sage in this field participated to express their views. The participating scientists from the Secretariat of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Magtymguly Turkmen State University, and the Magtymguly Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, as well as professors and teachers of the institute, highlighted the clear evidence of the statements of Hero Arkadag in his book “Ömrümiň manysy” (The Meaning of My Life): “Azadi is the source of science and wisdom. He has very well understood both the Islamic and the Turkmen canons. His wisdom, the above-mentioned words, can only be found true and approved by any science, any culture, any tradition, including Islam.” (The Meaning of My Life 324).

Because, raising generations who will continue the state-building principles of Azadi, who preached that destroying human hearts is a thousand times worse than destroying the holy Kaaba, is the primary task and sacred duty of us, especially the professors and teachers of the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages ​​named after this great scholar.

The participants of the solemn conference entitled “Azadi – a Source of Science and Wisdom” expressed their gratitude to our Hero Arkadag and our Arkadagly Hero Serdar, who provide great opportunities to study the literary legacy of the great Turkmen sage, who is a source of wisdom and who instills compassion, humanism, justice, a broad scientific outlook and generosity in the hearts of people. They also wished the National Leader and Honorable President, who have spread the reputation of Turkmen people throughout the world, good health, long life, and only prosperity in their state endeavors that pave the way for unity and peace among the peoples of the world.
