A two-day seminar was held at the International University for the Humanities and Development for teachers from three higher educational institutions: the International University for the Humanities and Development, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, and the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction. Professor Martha Merrill of Kent State University delivered the presentation. This practical seminar took place as part of an official visit to Turkmen higher education institutions by a delegation led by Marcello Fantoni, Vice President of Kent State University.

The seminar topics were "Development of Curriculum and Assessment of Learning Outcomes" and "Assessment of Institutional Capacity and Accreditation." During the seminar, discussions covered areas such as defining desired learning outcomes, aligning curricula with international standards, developing programs to achieve learning outcomes, accreditation processes, exploring case studies, examining best practices and accreditation models, and international frameworks and strategies for ensuring the quality of higher education. International examples of improving educational quality, criteria for attracting students, integration into the global educational landscape, and factors of competitive advantage were also presented and discussed.

At the end of the event, participants had the opportunity to ask questions and receive detailed explanations on the topics discussed. The seminar participants also expressed their gratitude to Ms. Martha Merrill for her engaging and informative presentation. It was emphasized that such collaborative interactions pave the way for enriching academic experience and fostering innovation in higher education.
