Telephone Conversation Between the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Niger

On July 1, 2025, a telephone conversation was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, His Excellency Mr. Rashid Meredov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Nigeriens Abroad of the Republic of Niger, His Excellency Mr. Bakary Yaou Sangaré.
During the exchange, the Ministers reviewed prospects for enhancing bilateral cooperation across areas of mutual interest.
Both sides emphasized the importance of establishing regular contacts between the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Niger. The Ministers also noted the convergence of views on key issues on the international agenda.
A particular focus of the discussion was the forthcoming Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, scheduled to take place in Turkmenistan in August of this year.
