Turkmen delegation's visit to Germany to tromote "Green energy" and mitigate the effects of Climate change

As previously reported, a Turkmen delegation consisting of representatives from the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, and the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan, as part of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) project "European Union for Green Growth in Turkmenistan: Policy Dialogue and Climate Change Actions for 2024–2028" visited Martin Luther University in Halle-Wittenberg. There, an official meeting was held with the Rector of Martin Luther University in Halle-Wittenberg, Professor Claudia Becker. This meeting took place in the historical part of the university in Halle and proceeded in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and positive exchange of views on the development of higher education, scientific cooperation, and academic activities.

A specialized introductory event was also held with the participation of leading experts from Turkmenistan and Germany, dedicated to modern energy-saving technologies and the use of renewable energy sources. The event emphasized the importance of bilateral efficiency in international cooperation in addressing global energy and environmental issues. Several presentations were given showcasing cutting-edge achievements in sustainable energy, energy efficiency, and environmental innovation. During the event, the presentation by Professor Christopher Conrad from the Department of Geoecology at Martin Luther University in Halle-Wittenberg was particularly impressive.

As part of the visit, the Turkmen delegation visited Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Köthen, where an official meeting was held with representatives of the international cooperation department. The parties discussed the current state and opportunities for the development of academic and scientific ties between universities in Turkmenistan and Germany.

The Turkmen delegation visited the Clausthal University of Technology (Technische Universität Clausthal), located in Saxony, Germany. The purpose of the visit was to explore opportunities for academic collaboration, scientific cooperation, and exchange programs with one of Germany's leading technical universities in science and education. The meeting was attended by the Vice President for Research and Innovation of the Clausthal University of Technology, Professor Joachim Deubener. Professor Deubener provided an overview of the university's current scientific areas, such as materials science, energy systems, environmental technologies, and digital transformations.

It should be noted that the introductory trip by the Turkmen delegation to the Federal Republic of Germany was an important step in strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries. During the trip, fruitful meetings were successfully held with representatives of scientific, educational, and diplomatic circles, which opened up new opportunities for cooperation in the fields of science, technology, education, and culture. The experience gained and the established relationships create a solid foundation for further development of cooperation and implementation of joint initiatives.
