Training for national specialists on early childhood development

The Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, in collaboration with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Office in Turkmenistan, conducted a two-day training for healthcare system specialists working in the field of early childhood development.

The seminar aimed to strengthen skills in effective communication and interaction with families to provide professional support on early childhood upbringing issues.

The training program covered key topics such as age-appropriate care, child nutrition according to WHO recommendations, and engaging parents in monitoring the child's development through everyday activities.

During the event, participants were introduced to a new guide for parents designed to help families track the development of their child from birth to five years old. The specifics of conducting meetings with parents to collect feedback and adapt the guide to family needs were also discussed.
