On July 8, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, arrived in Balkan Velayat on a working visit to review preparations for the upcoming Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, scheduled for August, and the implementation of related projects.
Hero-Arkadag visited the multifunctional “Awaza” sports complex, located on the picturesque Caspian Sea coast.
At present, the final stage of preparations for the international forum under the auspices of the UN is underway here.
Hero-Arkadag emphasized that all necessary conditions should be created both inside the buildings and across the complex’s territory. In front of the main entrance, equipment based on modern technologies should be installed to display information about the international conference and to reflect the fruitful relations between Turkmenistan and the UN.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people noted the importance of creating favorable conditions so that participants of the conference can walk in the park area of the complex and rest comfortably. Guests should be provided with all opportunities for communication and access to information. At the same time, Hero-Arkadag underlined the need to establish quality service operations and gave relevant instructions.
Hero-Arkadag also drew attention to the transportation arrangements for the guests and emphasized the importance of using modern passenger buses in connection with this international event.
