Students and teachers of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University undergo industrial training and advanced training at the Petronas University of Technology Malaysia

Successful implementation of programs for the socio-economic development of the country in the new historical era ensures the development of the entire national economy, including each of its branches, and a steady increase in the standard of living of our people. In this regard, it is important to improve and develop the scientific and educational system, strengthening the educational potential of our country and ensuring its progress in this direction. The presence of various types and reserves of mineral resources in the country gives a great impetus to the development of the chemical, gas, oil and gas industries and other industries. As a result, our country is confidently building fuel and energy and industrial production complexes, and successfully implementing large-scale programs.

For a number of years, mutually beneficial and friendly cooperation in the field of science and education has been ongoing between the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, Petronas Charigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd, which operates in the oil and gas sector of our country, and the Malaysian company, Petronas Technological University of Malaysia.

In 2024, a new Memorandum of Understanding was signed to continue this cooperation and further expand its scope.

Within the framework of the signed Memorandum, as in previous years, on July 15 of this year, a group of students and teachers of the university were sent on a study tour to the Petronas Technological University of Malaysia for training and advanced training.

The specialized training center of Petronas Technological University of Malaysia has developed a special training program designed for 2 weeks of training and 1 week of advanced training. According to the plan, students and teachers of the university will conduct classes in specialized areas dedicated to the development of new technologies, the implementation of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in production. They will also get acquainted with the organization of training at Petronas Technological University of Malaysia, its laboratories, training centers, research and development activities and production facilities of the company.

The educational and industrial training provided at Petronas Technological University of Malaysia is of great importance to students, helping them to enrich their theoretical knowledge with practical skills, while the refresher courses for teachers will help them to consistently implement the best international practices in their teaching activities.
