Turkmenistan Marks 30th Anniversary of State Program “Saglyk”

A scientific-practical conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the state program “Saglyk” was held at the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan. The event was attended by heads of medical institutions from Ashgabat and Arkadag, regional representatives, faculty of the Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan, and students.

The conference addressed the successful implementation of the “Saglyk” Program, developed at the initiative of the Hero-Arkadag of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as well as the improvement of healthcare institutions and the quality of medical services provided to the population. Participants expressed gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and to the doctor-Arkadag for creating conditions for enhancing the professional level of Turkmen doctors.

The importance of fulfilling the instructions of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was noted, particularly regarding the acceleration of drafting master plans for the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, as well as monitoring the construction of hospitals and other social facilities within the framework of the 2022–2028 Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country.

On behalf of the Head of State, doctors and healthcare specialists were presented with gifts, and the results of the “Best Hospital” competition were announced. Participants also visited an exhibition showcasing medical equipment, medicines derived from Turkmen medicinal plants, and information about the achievements of the national healthcare system. A prominent place in the exposition was given to the scientific-encyclopedic work “Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan” by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

At the conclusion of the event, participants adopted an Address to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Similar conferences were held across the country.
