The World Orchestra Festival 2025 is taking place in the Austrian capital from July 23 to 26. This year, the prestigious musical event brought together orchestras from more than 40 countries from all over the world. The great honor of opening the festival fell to the Youth Chamber Orchestra of Turkmenistan under the direction of Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Rasul Klychev.
The opening ceremony, at which the Turkmen ensemble performed, took place on July 23 in the famous Vienna City Hall. The ensemble was invited to this role as a laureate of 2024, when it won the gold award in the Chamber Orchestra category, captivating the audience and the jury.
As part of its 2025 concert program, the orchestra presented a work by Franz Schubert, once again demonstrating its honed technique and expressive mastery on the international stage.
The Youth Chamber Orchestra of Turkmenistan made its debut at the festival only last year, but has quickly established itself as a prominent participant in this prestigious international event. Its success reflects the growing recognition of Turkmenistan’s rich musical culture and the high caliber of its young performers. This year’s festival program also included concerts, competitions, and master classes, culminating in a grand gala concert.
