Turkmenistan to host international forum on digital literacy and artificial intelligence

During a government meeting on Friday, July 25, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov reported to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the activities to develop cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

In order to continue Turkmenistan's active humanitarian policy and promote initiatives in the international arena, the Deputy Prime Minister presented a number of new proposals to the head of state. These are:

1) Participation of the delegation of Turkmenistan in the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference, which will be held in Samarkand this autumn;

2) Holding an international forum in Turkmenistan in August this year on digital education and artificial intelligence. The forum is planned to be organized in a hybrid format in five thematic areas, covering various aspects of AI;

3) Implementation of projects financed by the Trust Fund established with the support of the head of state. Among them are "Our Heritage", "Youth, Peace and Security", the creation of a geopark in Turkmenistan, the preservation of the Amul Fortress and other initiatives.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the submitted proposals and instructed Deputy Prime Minister Meredov to continue targeted work to expand cooperation with UNESCO.
