Turkmenistan took part in the International Environmental Conference

On July 25, 2025, the delegation of Turkmenistan, headed by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Nokerguly Atagulyev, took part in the International Environmental Conference, which was held in the Altai Republic of the Russian Federation.
The main topics of the conference were climate change, development of the national economy and conservation of biodiversity.
Speaking at the conference, vice-premier focused the participants’ attention on the main directions of Turkmenistan’s environmental policy aimed at ensuring environmental safety, sustainable development and preserving the country’s natural heritage.
The speech also mentioned international conventions in the field of ecology that Turkmenistan has joined, the country’s specially protected natural areas, tree planting activities, the introduction of innovative, water-saving, waste-free technologies in the agro-industrial and industrial sectors, the development of renewable energy sources, etc.
