Turkmenistan Launches Interagency Electronic Data Exchange System

At the regular Cabinet of Ministers meeting held on Friday, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Mämmetkhan Chakyyev presented to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov a proposal regarding the "Electronic Government" system. The President approved the proposal.

The new platform, implemented by the Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), now connects 10 ministries and agencies, and integrates 12 state electronic services.

To ensure secure information exchange, cybersecurity servers have been installed. All electronic services are integrated through the "X-Road" platform, which enables government bodies to provide services to citizens quickly and securely, while also reducing costs and enhancing data protection.

As part of the project, phased training courses were organized for 75 specialists from the Ministry of Communications and participating agencies. The training covered the use of the "X-Road" platform, networking technologies based on "Cisco CCNA" and "Cisco CCNP" programs, as well as programming languages such as "Linux", "Java", and "Python". All participants received appropriate certificates.

The implementation of this system will provide 24/7 access to information, simplify interagency data exchange, and expand the range of electronic services. This will promote the development of electronic document management, reduce administrative costs through automation, and systematize the delivery of public services to the population.
