Turkmenistan and Qatar discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral and international cooperation

A meeting was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Belarus Nazarguly Shagulyev and Chargé d'Affaires of Qatar Hamoud Saleh Mohsen Nasser Al-Saadi.
The parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral and international cooperation.
Ambassador Shagulyev spoke about the important initiatives of Turkmenistan this year. In particular, at the initiative of Turkmenistan and with the support of the UN General Assembly, 2025 has been declared the International Year of Peace and Trust. This event is of particular importance, since on December 12, Turkmenistan will celebrate the 30th anniversary of its permanent neutrality.
The diplomat also informed his Qatari counterpart about the upcoming Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), which will be held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone. The conference is expected to become a key platform for deepening cooperation and addressing issues related to logistics and integration into the global economy.
Qatari representative Hamoud Saleh Mohsen Nasser Al-Saadi expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and confirmed Qatar's interest in expanding cooperation with Turkmenistan. He highly appreciated Turkmenistan's peacekeeping initiatives and its contribution to building trust in the international arena, noting the importance of the upcoming conference in Avaza.
