On July 3, a flag-raising ceremony was held in Avaza National Tourist Zone to mark the opening of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.
The flag-raising ceremony was attended by Deputy Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and UN Under-Secretary-General, High Representative for the Least Developed, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island States Rabab Fatima.
Turkmenistan has taken all necessary preparatory measures with great responsibility to successfully host the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries in the country.
This significant event serves as evidence that Turkmenistan views the United Nations as a universal international platform, endowed with a mandate from the world community on issues of preserving and strengthening international peace and security, ensuring sustainable development of all states and peoples.
