Turkmenistan and the IAEA discussed the draft Framework Program for the country for 2025-2029

On August 4, a meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov and Deputy Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Liu Hua at the Berkarar Hotel of the Avaza National Tourist Zone.
The high level of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the IAEA was noted at the meeting.
Particular attention was paid to ongoing programmes and projects, in particular in the area of leveraging the IAEA’s expertise and technical skills in the field of health.
In addition, the parties discussed the coordination of the draft Framework Program for the country for 2025-2029 between the Government of Turkmenistan and the International Atomic Energy Agency. Interest was expressed in signing this document in the near future.
The IAEA Deputy Director General noted the importance of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries and expressed gratitude to the Turkmen side for the high level of organization and hospitality.
