Youth Forum – a bridge of friendship and brotherhood

On August 4, a solemn opening ceremony of the Youth Forum was held in the National Tourist Zone “Avaza” under the motto “Building Bridges for the Future of Landlocked Developing Countries.” The forum featured a series of events dedicated to youth policy issues. The international meetings brought together not only high-ranking representatives of the United Nations but also Youth Ambassadors of the Sustainable Development Goals from various parts of the world.

Particular attention at the forum was devoted to discussing pressing issues related to the future development of landlocked developing countries, adopting relevant resolutions, and showcasing innovative youth initiatives. During the forum, the “Youth Declaration” was presented and officially adopted. Its implementation is expected to ensure the active involvement of young people in formulating constructive solutions in countries of this category. It is noteworthy that the author of the initiative is Mwinji Nachinga, a member of the Youth Advisory Council of the Republic of Zambia.

Following the concluding remarks by high-level representatives, the forum concluded with the adoption of the “Youth Declaration” and a ceremonial group photo of the participants.

In the afternoon session of the Youth Forum, an award ceremony was held for participants of the Landlinked Fellowship program, alongside the presentation of think pieces of youth entrepreneurs

The Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries and its associated events are ongoing.
