From July 27 to August 3, 2025, the 32nd International Mathematical Competition among students of higher education institutions (IMC-2025) was held in Blagoevgrad (Bulgaria). This year it was organized by University College London and hosted by the American University in Bulgaria.
A total of 434 students from 52 countries took part in the Competition. The International Mathematical Competition (IMC) is one of the most prestigious international university-level mathematics competitions. The International Mathematical Competition (IMC) is one of the largest and most famous international mathematical Olympiads for students. Since 1994, teams from universities around the world have participated in it. The IMC is primarily an individual competition, although most participating universities select and send one or more student teams. The working language is English. The final of the International Mathematical Competition consisted of 2 rounds, where Turkmen youth met with 434 participants from 52 countries, including Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Great Britain, Germany, Spain, Italy, China, Colombia, the Netherlands, the UAE, the USA, North Macedonia, Sweden, Switzerland, France, Ecuador and others. Over the course of two days, students solved 4-5 problems in algebra, analysis, including complex analysis, combinatorics, and geometry. Participation in the international mathematical Olympiad was an important event for the students. In addition to the competition itself, they were most impressed by the opportunity to meet students from all over the world who shared common interests. For the students, this was not only a test of their mathematical abilities, but also an opportunity to establish friendly contacts.
