President Serdar Berdimuhamedov participates in the CIS Heads of State Summit

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who arrived the previous day on a working visit to the Russian Federation, is taking part in the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States held in Moscow.

Being an associated member of the CIS in accordance with its neutral status, Turkmenistan takes an active position in the development of fruitful cooperation in the CIS space, taking into account its impressive potential in various spheres. Our country is united with the CIS countries by traditional ties of friendship and good-neighbourliness, close historical and cultural ties, which serves as a solid foundation for building up mutually beneficial partnership and enriching its content.

The Summit participants will discuss topical aspects of the regional and international agenda in the course of narrow and extended sessions, with the participation of members of delegations.

At the end of the Summit, a ceremony of signing the final documents is planned.
