The head of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent a letter of gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
"First of all, I congratulate you from the bottom of my heart on holding the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries under your chairmanship at the highest level in the Avaza National Tourist Zone in the unique city of Turkmenbashi.
This international Conference is a clear practical confirmation of how the authority and prestige of neutral Turkmenistan in the international arena is steadily growing every year.
This forum is of particular importance because it comprehensively discussed issues of strengthening the economic, in particular transport interconnectedness of developing countries, primarily the Central Asian states, increasing their transit potential, as well as further expanding their opportunities to enter world markets.
The adoption of the Avaza Political Declaration and the approval of the Ten-Year Action Program during the event will undoubtedly serve these noble goals and our aspirations.
I am also confident that a fruitful and open dialogue with you will give a powerful impetus to the development of multifaceted and long-term cooperation in all priority areas of our interaction,” the President of Uzbekistan noted.
“I express my sincere gratitude to you and His Excellency Mr. Gurbanguly Myalikgulyevich Berdimuhamedov, as well as to the close and brotherly Turkmen people, for awarding me the highest state award of Turkmenistan – the Order of “Hyzmatdaşlygy ösdürmäge goşandy üçin”.
I perceive this high award not only as a symbolic expression of the boundless respect shown to me and the entire Uzbek people, but also as the personification of the eternal friendship between our fraternal peoples.
I am deeply convinced that your upcoming high-level visit to our country will allow us to take the relations of good neighborliness and strategic partnership between our countries to a completely new level.
I take this opportunity to wish you good health, family happiness, great success in your noble state activities, and to the brotherly people of Turkmenistan - peace, constant prosperity and well-being," the Uzbek leader wrote.
