From August 3 to 13, 2025, the Central Asian Karate Championship was held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. Hemra Begjanow, a student of the Balkanabat branch of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, triumphed over strong opponents in his category's final and claimed the gold medal.
The Turkmen athletes demonstrated exceptional skill and courage at the championship. Hemra Begjanow showcased his unique speed and tactical intelligence, overcoming all challenges with success. In the final match, despite facing a formidable opponent, he emerged as the strongest competitor, further elevating Turkmenistan's name.
