Turkmenistan took part in the second conference of the Working Group on Cooperation in Civil Aviation of Central Asian Countries and China

Representatives of the aviation authorities of Turkmenistan, China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan took part in the second conference of the Working Group on Cooperation in Civil Aviation of Central Asian Countries and China. The event was held in Astana.

The participants discussed the development of regional air traffic, improving the quality of passenger and cargo transportation, modernizing airport infrastructure and strengthening flight safety. Particular attention was paid to creating conditions for the formation of a single aviation space of Eurasia.

The Chinese side presented five key proposals: simplifying customs procedures, reducing the cost of aviation fuel, developing technical exchange, joint training programs for specialists and introducing unified digital service standards.

It should be noted that due to its strategic position at the intersection of the North-South and East-West transport corridors, Turkmenistan can become one of the main hubs of the future aviation network. The expansion of routes will increase transit passenger traffic, attract tourists and intensify international freight traffic via Ashgabat and Turkmenbashi.
