In Turkmenistan, students and parents are getting ready for September 1. In anticipation of the new academic year, over 400 school fairs have opened across the country.
At these fairs, parents can purchase everything needed for school, from notebooks and pencils to full school uniforms. A complete uniform for girls, which includes a green dress, a white apron, a jacket, shoes, and a traditional cap (tahya), costs about 500 manats, as reported by Mir 24.
A full uniform set for boys—consisting of a suit, tie, belt, tahya, and shoes—is priced similarly.
