Ashgabat Hosts Latest Council of Elders Session

On the instructions of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, on August 19, the next meeting of the Council of Elders under the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship was held in the capital's Maslahat köşgi Palace.

The agenda included issues related to the activities of the members of the Council of Elders at the local level, upcoming tasks, as well as a number of organizational issues.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to the work of the Council of Elders under the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship. In this regard, it was noted that the respected elders are committed to the national principles of humanism, including support for those in need of guardianship and care for children left without parental care.

One of the items on the agenda of the current meeting is the issue of admitting new members to the Council of Elders under the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship.

In this regard, a member of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan from the city of Ashgabat, Honorary Elder of Turkmenistan Meretgeldi Gulgeldiev, was nominated as a member of the Council of Elders in the city of Ashgabat under the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship.

Also, a member of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan from the city of Ashgabat, Honorary Elder of Turkmenistan Italmaz Saparlyev was nominated as a member of the Council of Elders of the city of Ashgabat under the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Also, a representative of the Council of Elders of the city of Arkadag, Honorary Elder of Turkmenistan Kakajan Tashliev, was nominated as a member of the Council of Elders of the Ahal velayat.

The nominated candidates for the Council of Elders under the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov were unanimously elected.
