President of Turkmenistan Congratulates Finalists of "Çalsana, bagşy!" Competition

On August 20, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the participants of the final round of the competition among dutarists and bakhshi musicians "Çalsana, bagşy!", which is held as part of the competition for the award of the President of Turkmenistan "Türkmeniň Altyn asyry".

"In the International Year of Peace and Trust, when the 30th anniversary of neutrality is widely celebrated, the authority of the independent Fatherland in the international arena is steadily growing, and the life of the Turkmen people is filled with a series of celebrations. Today, in the era of the Revival of a new era of a powerful state, we are successfully and consistently implementing large-scale reforms initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, which are radically changing the face of Turkmenistan.

Song and musical art is one of the national treasures. Since ancient times, songs and melodies have allowed our people to express their innermost thoughts. Works created by the consonance of the dutar and gidjak were of great importance in educating the younger generation in the spirit of love for the Motherland; they brought an atmosphere of solemnity to national celebrations. It is for this reason that our ancestors sincerely believed in the inspiring power of songs and melodies. Thus, the art of bakhshi became the main and integral part of the holidays: the melodies of the dutar inspired and inspired Turkmens to great deeds in the name of the country and the people.

The works of the luminaries of the performing arts, who gained popularity with their outstanding talent and skill, have forever remained in the people's memory.
