A NEW TEXTBOOK FOR HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS HAS BEEN PUBLISHED

Under the instructions of our esteemed President, Arkadagly Hero Serdar, the provision of books for our country's educational institutions, including higher education institutions, is constantly monitored. This itself helps to strengthen the foundation for our youth to receive a modern education and to master the professions they have chosen.

Recently, the textbook "Geography of Continents and Oceans. Book I. Eurasia" (authors: A. Berdiyeva, Y. Ilamanov – Ashgabat: Turkmen State Publishing Service, 2025) was published for higher education institutions.

The textbook contains valuable information on the formation of Eurasia's nature, including the important periods of its geological history, the distribution of its main mineral resources, their location and dependence on the tectonic structure, the surface structure of the continent: the plains and highlands of platform regions, epi-platform (ancient platform) and epi-geosynclinal mountain belts, its atmosphere (climate), inland waters, soil-vegetation cover, the continent's animal world, geological belts, zones, and the composition of its natural and anthropogenic landscapes. Furthermore, this book characterizes Eurasia's natural regions and the features of their nature.

This textbook is intended for students specializing in geography, cartography, ecology, and meteorology at our country's higher education institutions. Nevertheless, geography teachers at general education institutions can also use it as a reference.
