An international scientific and practical conference “The potential of Artificial intelligence in achieving sustainable development goal for education” was held

On August 29, in Ashgabat, in accordance with the declaration by the United Nations General Assembly, on the initiative of Turkmenistan, of 2025 as the "International year of peace and trust ", approved by the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan "Plan for the implementation of the Concept of Development of the Digital Education System in Turkmenistan", as well as the Action Plan in the education system in honor of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education jointly held a coordinated international scientific and practical conference "The potential of Artificial intelligence in achieving sustainable development goal for education".

The main goal of the international scientific and practical conference was the introduction of artificial intelligence into national and international educational platforms, as well as the exchange of best practices in this area. Representatives of UNESCO, international experts, employees of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, scientists and teachers of higher education institutions took an active part in the work of the international scientific and practical conference. The conference participants discussed issues of digitalization of education, knowledge exchange and technology transfer, international cooperation of national research laboratories and centers, stimulating the development of cooperation in the field of capacity building of centers, as well as innovative educational technologies.

The grand opening and plenary session of the International Scientific and Practical Conference took place at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University. After the plenary session, the conference continued its work in sections. The first section of the conference entitled "AI in achieving inclusive and equitable quality education for all" was successfully held at the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan, the second section entitled "AI in the transformation of education management and training management" - at the Turkmen State University named after Makhtumkuli, the third section entitled "Development of AI competencies for teachers and students" and the fourth section entitled "AI in personalized learning and learning environment: challenges and opportunities" - at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University.

The international scientific and practical conference served as a platform for exchanging experiences in the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies in the education system, developing joint strategies for the development of education in the context of digital transformations, with special attention paid to personalized learning, the development of critical thinking, and the adaptation of educational programs to modern requirements.

The international scientific and practical conference ended with wishes of good health and long life to our Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar, who are role models for young people in all areas, as well as wishes for their rapid progress and successful work and further success in their endeavors.
