On September 1, 2025, the Consulate of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (Astrakhan) hosted a conference dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of the Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan and the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth.
The event was attended by officials of the Consulate, the Chair of the Astrakhan Regional Public Organization for the Preservation and Development of Turkmen Culture, Turkmen students studying in the Russian Federation, as well as teachers and pupils of the Maktumkuli Fragi Secondary School in the village of Funtovo, Astrakhan Region.
In his address, the Consul of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (Astrakhan), Mr. G. Ilamanov, extended his cordial congratulations to the youth on the commencement of the new academic year. He emphasized the significance of the Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan, highlighted the major achievements and progress attained by the country over the 34 years, and underlined the importance of the forthcoming session of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan.
The conference also featured statements delivered by Ms. F. Kadyrova, Chair of the Astrakhan Regional Public Organization for the Preservation and Development of Turkmen Culture; Mr. R. Shadzhiev, teacher of the Maktumkuli Fragi School; and Ms. G. Nepesova, a second-year student at Astrakhan State University named after V. N. Tatishchev. Furthermore, pupils of the Maktumkuli Fragi School recited verses of the great poet Maktumkuli in the Turkmen language.
Within the framework of the event, on behalf of the Consulate, letters of appreciation and commemorative gifts were presented to students, pupils, and teachers of the Maktumkuli Fragi School in Funtovo, Astrakhan Region, in recognition of their active participation in festive events organized by the Consulate of Turkmenistan.
