Turkmenistan and the UN discussed current areas of cooperation

On September 10, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a meeting with the UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan Dmitry Shlapachenko.
The parties discussed current areas of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UN and its specialized agencies. It was noted that on September 9 of this year, the regular session of the UN General Assembly began its work in New York, which has become an important international platform for discussing current issues on the global agenda.
During the conversation, special attention was paid to issues related to the upcoming meeting of the Turkmenistan-UN Strategic Advisory Council.
In the context of preparations for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the UN, the Turkmen side expressed its readiness to assist in holding the planned events in the country.
